Wedding Speech Advice

One moment you’re reading the cue cards that you had carefully written and rewritten to perfection, the next you see yawning and unamused faces in the audience. Sounds like a nightmare and it can happen, but that doesn’t have to be you. There are many ways you can prepare your speech for a wedding so that is has meaning behind it yet captivates the other guests at the event.

1) The audience understands that not everybody can be the next Ernest Hemingway or William Shakespeare but it does help to make sure that you read the speech with purpose. A beautifully written speech can be overlooked if the reader is using a monotone voice while staring at the paper in front of them. Have Purpose.

2) It is ALWAYS helpful to have a fresh set of eyes to proofread the speech ahead of time. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
