With 2017 quickly coming to an end, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of this year’s top trends! Below is a list of a few that we hope make it into 2018.
ONE: Artistic Invites
One trend we’ve seen take off this year is skipping the over the top invites, save-the-dates, and RSVP's and trading it for a more artistic and clean look. Typically, the invitations set the theme for what your wedding will be like and brides have been saving these to put in their wedding albums as well!
TWO: Candid Couple Photos
This year, couples are focusing less on the posed pictures and more on the candid shots that highlight the happiness and joy that surrounds the day. Photos like this allow the couples personalities to really be seen within the photos which no doubt will make an awesome wedding album addition.
THREE: Wedding Day Hashtags
With all of the social media sites out there, it’s no surprise that this trend has completely taken off this year. Some couples are coming up with clever & catchy hashtags, while others simply use their new last name as one. Either way, people are obsessed & we’re totally digging this cute way to keep photos organized!
FOUR: Unplugged Weddings
While we just said that hashtags have become extremely popular, this next trend has also become increasingly popular throughout the year: Unplugged weddings. Some couples are asking for all electronics to be turned off during the ceremony as a way to avoid the guests from blocking the photographers beautiful shots and as a way to have the guests be fully present during these special moments. No pictures please!!
FIVE: Letting Nature be the Decoration
This year, we’ve noticed a lot of couples are opting to let nature be a part of their big day. Being based out of Arizona, there is nothing we love more than the beautiful mountains and desert landscapes being used as ceremony backdrops. As Bella Rose Estate claimed, “From the desert landscape as your engagement photo backdrop to a beautiful mountain as your altar background, setting your décor and wedding ambiance in a natural environment is the perfect way to make it all seem effortless and is much easier to afford.” Oh Bella Rose, we couldn’t agree more!
